I am crazy about Star Wars (who in my generation isn’t?) and I was more than thrilled to purchase the Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor Lego! I wanted my kids to assemble this baby, so that WE ALL can have loads of fun assembling it!

I must confess, I felt like a child again, assembling the Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor Lego in order to fly and confront the great Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar – yes, this may sound silly but I did have a great time. I got to spend time with my kids and told them how I waited in line for hours in order to get movie tickets to go see the “Return of the Jedi”. My 9 year old said “Gee dad, you are old!”

When the package arrived, it included the following:
• Five mini figures: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Security Battle Droid, Nute Gunray and R2-D2 - I spent close to an hour, talking about each of these famous Star Wars characters and my sons listened with rapt attention!
• Jedi Interceptor, 2 Lightsabers and 1 blaster – I went on and on about how the Lightsabers were a huge hit back in the day. (I am ashamed to admit it but I have a Lightsaber in my attic).
• R2-D2 can be inserted in the Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor!
• Anakin could be changed to the dark side using the reversible min figure head
• Mining robot & platform

I am crazy about the Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor having cockpit that can be opened, foldable wing flaps, green styling and dual flick missiles. The size of the Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor is quite cool; it measures 7inches long and 6inches wide.

The best thing I loved about this wonderful Lego product is that it really helped me to bond with my kids – I learnt a lot assembling the 300-piece Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor with them.

Pros:
The Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor is more than just a Lego toy! It tells also tells a story about the greatest battle in the movie make-believe world. It helps children sharpen their problem solving skills as well.

Cons:
The Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor is fun way for your children to learn how to construct big objects from little pieces of Lego.

The item is a Lego Cake Decoration set. I ordered it for my grandson’s 4th birthday. He has a set of Legos and loves everything about them. So, I think he will be really surprised having a cake that is Lego decorated.

I found it at Birthday in a Box.com, which is a really great website for birthday cake decorations. Actually the decorations are candles – one of them is a big sign that you might see at a construction site that says Lego – Happy Birthday, and then there is a police officer, and then two construction workers who are in jeep like trucks.

They are made of candle wax and have a fuse to light – this is really rather cute. And they have a calendar on their website where you can figure out when it will be at your house. Mine were delivered in plenty of time.

The birthday party is tomorrow and I have the cake baked and cooling off. Yellow cake with chocolate icing! And I bought him some more Legos – his mother is going to kill me – oh well, that’s what grandmothers are for. Grandmothers get to buy toys that have 1400 pieces and then sent the child and the toys all home, so they can be stepped on in the middle of the night by one of the precious child’s parents.

I love this stage of life – I really do – being a grandmother and not having to deal with the consequences.

I told her – when she was his age that someday I would get back at her for all the things that mother has to put up with. “Just wait until you have a child – just like you”. All mothers say that and then it comes true when you become a grandmother.

Pros:
This Lego decoration consist of 4 candles – one being a large Lego sign that says Happy Birthday, a uniformed traffic control cops, and two Lego workers in Lego trucks. All made of candle wax and a fuse to light.

Cons:
Not anything wrong – the decorations arrived on time and the website is great with customer services.

LEGO City Police Accessory Set:

I am so pleased with the LEGO City Police Accessory Set that I bought from the Shop Lego website. My children just love Lego games and would spend a considerable amount of time figuring out which piece fitted. My husband and I prefer to buy games that will help our children develop their imagination and help them to solve problems. Our children enjoy being able to complete Lego structures and would stop at nothing to make sure that they build the Lego structures just like they see it on the box.

The LEGO City Police Accessory Set comes with four prebuilt mini figures and a police K9! My children simply started expanding the Lego city police collection with a lot of story inventive accessories which include the following:

• Police barrier • Handcuffs • Metal detector element • Bone • Flashlight • Briefcase • Two megaphones • Walkie-talkie element set • Binocular element

I love listening to my children create a story around their Lego creations. They came up with a story of how two brave policemen and a policewoman saved a neighborhood from the terror of aliens. They talked about how the law enforcement officers used the binoculars to spot the aliens from far and how the police dog was useful in sniffing out the aliens that were hiding from the police. They talked about how they used the flashlight to spot the aliens’ hiding place and how they warned the entire neighborhood to stay indoors using the megaphones. They said that the police barrier is used to keep people away from the danger zone. The briefcase is used to keep all the clues and the walkie-talkie set is used to communicate with the other law enforcement agents.

I am so pleased with how well my kids are using their imagination and creativity. If you are looking for a game that will help your children improve their problem solving skills and creativity, then I recommend the LEGO City Police Accessory Set!

Lego Ninjago Figures

I have always liked the idea of LEGOs. They are the type of old school toy that makes children use their imaginations. They do not need batteries, they do not make noise, and the variations that you can build with them are endless. My son loves his LEGOs, and he had been telling me about the LEGO Ninjago Temple of Light play set for months before I caved and went on the hunt for them.

LEGO Ninjago is a theme from LEGO that has to do with ninjas and spinners and some other stuff that I don’t totally get but that the boys are really into it. We even went to a birthday party recently where the cake was the green ninja. Since the kids like playing with the specific little LEGO guys as much as they like building the sets that go with them, it is important to the kids that they get the exact set. You can’t just build the Temple of Light using a box of various plain LEGOs.

What I thought would be a quick and easy purchase turned out to be anything but that. Apparently this particular set is very popular. I drove to two different toy stores and went to a couple of the big stores with toy departments and could not find it. The toy store people said that the Ninjago sets sell out quickly, and the big stores with the toy departments did not even understand what exactly I was looking for. I could not believe it took me so long to check the actual LEGO store, but when I did I found it right away. I ordered it as quickly as I could, because I was sure it would sell out in the five minutes it took me to get my credit card out!

It took a few days to get the set, but when it came it was exactly what my son wanted. It is a little expensive for such a light box, but that is how it goes with LEGOs. The fact is that no other brand fits together as well, and my kid won’t play with them when they keep coming apart. I was a hero for getting what he wanted, and now his Ninjago set is complete!

Pros: They had exactly what I wanted after I had searched everywhere else for the Temple of Light set. Also, I did not have to question whether the quality is good or if the customer service would back up my purchase if something went wrong. It gives me a secure feeling buying directly from the manufacturer.

Cons: The site does offer free shipping when you spend over a certain amount, and my purchase did not qualify for free shipping. Other than having to pay for shipping, there was nothing negative in this buying experience for me. I already knew that the LEGO brand is a reliable one, and my son knew exactly what he wanted.

Review Body: The item is the Grand Emporium for LEGO shop that I bought for my kids a week ago. I had been on the lookout for a recreational activity for them that can take their minds off their computers and mobiles for a little while. I had arranged for indoor games and other activities for them in the past, but it had no effect on their daily routine. I was totally lost for ideas when at last my friend came to my aid. She told me about the modular buildings set available at LEGO shop and convinced me that my boys would like it very much. She too has two sons whom she told me have found a great liking for building structures and have almost given up their extra use of mobiles and computers for this new activity.

I liked her idea and logged on to the LEGO shop website. I was intrigued to find so many modular building available there for the children. I liked the Grand Emporium modular building set the most partially because of the detailed structure it had which almost looked like a real life building. I knew that my children liked high rise buildings, so I went for this 3-story building and placed an order for it immediately. The buying process was a simple one and I was done with it in a matter of minutes.

The order was shipped to me within a few days which was very pleasing as my kids were getting restless to have the modular building set. I had told them and they had read about it and seen pictures of it online. They were very excited to see the set and immediately set about constructing the building. Initially, they had trouble joining the pieces together. However, they took as a challenge and went about their task meticulously losing track of time. They even asked me to help them in their construction of the building and we had a great time piecing the building together.

After strenuous efforts, we were finally able to get the building constructed. It looked marvelous and just like a real life emporium with shops present on all three of its floors and a grand chandelier on the roof of the third floor. We even placed miniature people in and around the Grand Emporium which were doing their shopping, using the mail box and eating ice-cream besides marveling at the magnificent building we had constructed.

Pros: The Grand Emporium from LEGO shop is an excellent modular building. It is a 3-story departmental store which is very detailed in its structure and contains some very rare pieces. It has the look and feel of a building with shops in the inside and people wandering in and around it. It is a splendid past time for kids over the age of 16 and can prove to be a great gift for them. Priced at only $149.99, this amazing modular building from LEGO shop is a perfect recreational item for teenagers that can keep them occupied for long periods of time.

Cons: The assembling and building instructions of the building are quite complex and difficult to follow. My kid found it real hard to build the structure for the first time, but now has learnt how to go about the building procedure.

Website Experience: The LEGO shop is renowned in the world for producing the best modular buildings in the world and their online store is famous for its simple and elegant design. The website, shop.lego.com of the online LEGO store is very clear and can be navigated without encountering any problems. The menus are very self-explanatory and lead you directly to the product you want to buy.

The website provides clients total security when it comes to internet fraud. The employment of many security features meant that I had no issues in giving my credit card information to complete the online buying procedure.

Building with Lego’s is one of the best ways to keep little hands busy and is also a favorite pass time of full grown adults. The Hunger Games Lego set is one of the newest to hit the shelves and it is definitely a very popular item to bring home for collectors. My son just turned six and is becoming really obsessed with super heroes and things like Star Wars. Usually after we go see a new movie or watch a cartoon on TV, the first thing he wants to do is run outside and pretends he is a hero. For his most recent birthday I decided that I wanted to get him started on some Lego sets and was really impressed by the range of available themes they have. I started out with a pretty simple spaceship of some sort from Star Wars that even came with a few little figures from the movie in Lego form. He was so excited to see the name on the box of one of his favorite movies that the excitement was almost overwhelming when he discovered that it was as he called it a puzzle. We spent about half an hour putting the ship together and then he shot off like a rocket having imaginary battles with all of his other toys. Later he discovered he could actually make the ship into any shape he wanted and he was officially hooked! Christmas was about two months after his birthday and of course the thing on the top of his list was more Lego sets. I decided to go with the VIP program to earn some points because I could tell that this would be on the wishlist for many years to come so I might as well work towards some future discounts. Some of the sets seemed to be priced more like collectibles than toys, but most of the basic sets are very reasonable.

Legos are great toys to play with for kids of any age. One set in particular that will stimulate your child’s creativity is the Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown.
