Net Hosting that used the CloudLinux platform:

Choosing a new hosting company for my e-commerce site was not an easy task. There are thousands of hosting companies that offer the same thing for about the same price, so I was really unsure of where to go for my needs. I used shared Hostgator hosting for the past six years and was looking for something more reliable.

When I started my search, I was looking for a cloud provider so that I could start to advertise my site more, and the shared hosting could not reliably handle sudden spikes in traffic. After a referral from a friend in the industry, I decided to look into what Net Hosting was offering in terms of cloud hosting.

I was going to purchase a cloud server since it had all the features that I was looking for in a new server. However, when doing research on their site, I noticed they had an option for a service called CloudLinux hosting. It is essentially shared hosting, but if another site has a huge surge in traffic, your site will not be unavailable. This is exactly what I was looking for in a hosting company.

Also, the reliability has been outstanding, and I have not experienced any downtime yet. Finally, I was easily able to transition from my other host since they use Cpanel and the Linux platform.

Cons: If you want to get the lower $9.95 price, you have to commit for an entire year of service. For $2 more, you can just pay monthly without any commitment. Also, if you plan to run a lot of sites on one plan, this may not be an option for you. They only allow 10 MySQL databases on the server, while many shared servers do not have a limit on the amount of databases you can have at one time.
