Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is a Zurich, Switzerland based subsidiary of Lufthansa, the German Airline Company. It began as Swissair in 1931 and became a national symbol of Switzerland over the years. In 2002 Swiss International Air Line became the successor of Swissair and became part of Lufthansa in 2005. The airline is known for showcasing traditional Swiss values, providing quality products, services with a focus on hospitality, personal care and specific attention to all details. The goal of Swiss International Air Lines to make each and ever customer feel totally at home. The have an excellent rate of remaining on schedule. The food is above average for airline fare and the seats are mostly comfortable and come with a blanket and pillow. Swiss International Airlines

I have always wanted to take a vacation in Switzerland. The only direct flight that I could get from JFK International Airport in New York City to Zurich, Switzerland was on Swiss International Air Lanes. I was a little nervous at first because I did not know too much about this airline and what they had to offer.

This airline is a subsidiary of Lufhansa which is an airline based out of Germany. The company was called Swiss Air and has been in business since 1931. When I got on the airplane the first thing I noticed was how friendly the flight attendants were. They greeted me and understood and spoke English. The seats were comfortable and the temperature of the plan was just right. There was even a blanket and a pillow in the seat waiting for me. It was not too hot or too cold. I was able to properly adjust the temperature around my seat. This flight served a meal and the food was actually really good. In addition to a meal there was Swiss chocolate and coffee that was also served. This is some of the best airline food that I have ever eaten. The staff was very friendly and checked in with me to see if I needed anything and to ask how things were going. They were very friendly and even brought hot towels to all of the people on the plane. I felt like I was in a first class section even though I was really in coach.

The plane took off on time for the airport. Having flown before I was expected the flight to be delayed but there was nothing holding the flight up. Which was even more surprising is that the flight landed on time. There was nothing holding us up at the airport and we go there within five minutes of the scheduled landing time. The workers on this airline were very friendly and it was a pleasant flight experience.

Pros: The staff on the airline was very friendly and professional. The attendants were helpful and were ready to answer any questions. The pilots were professional as well and the flight was smooth. The food was some of the best airline food I have every eaten.

Cons: While the seats were comfortable there was not enough room to put overhead baggage. There also was a charge for an additional piece of luggage. The flight did have to be booked some time in advance because the plane filled up quickly.

However, the rising fares of air travelling have made it difficult for frequent air travelers to commute from one place to another quickly without spending a bucket load of money. Swiss, the Switzerland Airline, is among the most well respected airlines in the world, which is now offering its services in America and is providing very low fares to the people.

I recently had the opportunity to travel using Swiss International. My wife was with me and it was her first international flight. She was fairly nervous about the upcoming experience, but by the time we returned home she was a changed traveler. She is now looking forward to another trip across the ocean. The Swiss International flight attendants were great. They took excellent care of us. The flight was on time and despite some small turbulence, which let’s face it, is unavoidable, the entire trip was one of the best I’ve had. I can’t recommend this airline enough.

I’ve flown with Swiss International twice now and each flight has been a pleasant experience. The attendants are always friendly and helpful and the in-flight experience itself is nice. My first flight did have a rather long delay, which is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5, but the second flight was on time and everything went according to plan. Swiss International really knows how to treat you like a respected customer, and I like that. I’ll definitely fly with them again if I’m lucky to find myself back in that part of the world.

My company has an office in Europe so I spend a lot of time flying back and forth for meetings. All of my flights have been booked on Swiss International Airlines. I'm like Starvos. I have never had a bad experience with Swiss International Airlines. Everyone has been nice, friendly and helpful. I gave them four stars instead of five because they do tend to have a lot of delays. I don't know if it's because of where they are flying to or the airline, but the delays can be frustrating.

I don’t go around flying much but I do visit family and friends once a year in Switzerland. They are famous for a few things including chocolate and time pieces. It is fitting that they make clocks so well because it is reflected in everything they do. They are very efficient in their culture and it is reflected in their airline. You won’t end up waiting to long for anything. You get in, get out and the plane always lands on time or ahead of schedule. Their service is great, too. It’s not just the timing that makes them great.

Just like Starvos, I have family across seas. I have flown with Swiss International Airlines on several different occasions. I suppose I should say first that I have never had any major trouble with the airline. However, last year I decided to splurge for a first class window seat. When I boarded the plane and headed to my seat, I was informed that they had overbooked the flight and my first class seat would not be available. I would have been okay with that if they would have refunded the money that I had paid for the ticket, but when I got back home they refused to work with me.

With family living in Zurich, I often fly with Swiss International. To date, I have yet to have a bad experience. Boarding is a lot smoother when compared with other airlines. I have never waited in line for longer than 10 minutes. The flight staff are always in a great mood. While the have plenty of food on board, the choices are limited. This can be an inconvenience if you are on a long flight. The seats are extra long. This is great when you want to catch a nap. Swiss International offer plenty of entertainment options. The movie selection is always excellent.
