I am a coffee lover– I never liked coffee until one day, when I had coffee at a coffee plantation in Hawaii and realized that different coffees have different tastes. I just always assume all coffee tasted the same. Then I did some study about how coffee beans are planted and how different blends of coffee are made. I then joined a coffee club, where every week I got a different blend of coffee, and I feel in love with the whole idea of the different types of coffee. I also learned that there are different grinds that also brings out more of the flavor of the bean depending on the grind of the coffee.

Gourmet coffee – not just regular old coffee – I wanted the good stuff. It was not long before everyone at work knew that the way to get me to say yes is to find me a gourmet coffee blend that I have never tried before. My secretary started making me my own blends – she is wonderful. When visitors come to my office on an appointment they usually surprised with the coffee they were served. Every Christmas it is a race among my staff to see, who can get me the most unique and different coffee or some type of new blend that I have never had before.

But no one could ever surprise me – I thought. I had always kept the Hawaii Coffee Plantation a secret – no one knew about it. One Christmas I received “dark chocolate covered beans” –beans that were layered with velvety dark chocolate – and it tasted smooth, satisfying, and rich. And Surprise!! It was from the Hawaii Coffee Plantation and I had no idea who sent it to me and my friends at the plantation won’t tell me either. I still do not know who sent it to me. No one will confess. It is wonderful coffee and I have started ordering it for myself.

Pros:
Gourmet espresso beans that have been layered in a jar with wonderful dark chocolate which products a coffee that is smooth, satisfying, and rich – really rich – it is a taste that is quite different than any blend of coffee that I have ever had. And I still don’t know who sent it to me.

Cons:
None – this coffee plantation is my favorite place to visit when I am in Hawaii – they know me and know what I love and I get wonderful customer service.

Those who take the coffee seriously might be happy with store bought selections, but for me, it’s more of an obsession and that makes it a very lucky thing for me that I came across coffeesofhawaii.com a while back and have since been able to indulge myself in a variety of new products I had never before tasted.

The funny thing is I don’t actually know where it came from. I never bought into the whole Starbucks and other High Street chain addiction, but somewhere along the way, my tastes became rather refined and I started getting picky. It’s the kind of box that you just know you’ll end up keeping and finding some sort of use for, though given the fact that I intend to keep coming back for more, there’s a good chance I might start running out of space eventually. But hey, never mind…it’s all for a good cause!

I don’t have many vices in life, but one of them is good coffee. And it’s not like I drink the stuff like a fish gets through water, but when I do drink it, I want it to be something special and not just the usual store-bought stuff. This website could well turn out to be a favorite of mine if the Three Island Gift Tin is anything to go by – I really am impressed and have found myself in coffee heaven.

Pros: I’d have to say that the biggest pro of all is the way the tin is a set of three – which made it way easier for me to choose. No matter how strong, dark, light or full-bodied you like it, there’s something in here that fits the bill to a tee. Review Body: I have some of this coffee and it is the very best coffee that I have ever had – although I rarely drink coffee. I bought some of this coffee last month just because a friend of mine said it was better than chocolate, so I had to drink it just to see. I think she was right – it is really fine coffee. I ordered mine last week and have been enjoying it ever since my order got here.

Hawaii is the only state of the United States with the correct climatic conditions that are needed for growing great coffee. This combination of volcanic soil that is rich plus the year-round warm climate together with abundant rainfall all add up to the idea growing environment.

I didn’t even know Hawaii grew coffee – I thought it was just pineapple and sugar cane. Hawaiian coffee was grown traditionally on very small independent farms, but just lately comparatively big plantations have been growing the bulk of this crop. Recent factors in the economy have altered the Hawaiian agricultural crops, so now they are looking at coffee being a viable substitute crop.

Here is a fact that I bet most people do not know – after oil and petroleum, coffee is the 2nd most highly traded product in the entire world. WOW – did any of you know this? Coffee is the most heavily traded commodity except petroleum! I never realized that much coffee was consumed by everyone.

I will admit that the Hawaii coffee that I bought off the internet was very, very good – I was pleasantly surprised. If you drink coffee and would like some really great coffee, try this Hawaiian coffee blends. If you haven’t ever tried coffee; this would be the coffee to start on. Here I have corroded my insides with 30 years of Diet Dr. Pepper when I should have all this time been drinking coffee. Who knew?

This company has several types of coffee, but they did say that the different influences of these different coffees can be changed by choosing a blended line which might be a nice place to start.

These blends have fewer than 10% Hawaiian beans mixed with stringently coffee that is high grown in the shade from Central America which is harvested on the slopes of the 2nd highest mountain in Nicaragua.

I really don’t know much about coffee and the different flavors and blends – I think I am going to change that this year.

They also have back again for a very limited time is the sweet “typica” beans from the Big Island blended with spicy “catua” beans from Mau and Moloka’i. They say it is sweetness with a subtle spice – special for Mother’s Day.

Pros: Pleasant taste, great blends, perfect environment to grow coffee, and some of this coffee do taste better than chocolate. This is some of the best coffee that is grown.
