When buying my townhouse learning the sellers have to pay all the fees including those for both real estate agents was fantastic. I found this part far less fantastic when selling my home. Considering the relatively high asking price and the amount I’d have to pay each agent, I was reluctant to use a complete stranger.

Cons: Not using a real estate agent means sellers have to do all the work themselves. This means they first have to learn everything they need to know and then put it into practice. This entails a great deal of time and effort.
