I count myself as very lucky to be one of those people that consider cooking to be a true pleasure and not a chore. I actually love to spend time in the kitchen and see cooking and eating as hobbies, so chances are you will never find me complaining. However, this does not mean that from time to time I wouldn’t love to speed things up a bit and make cooking more efficient, which is why I was delighted to come across the Nuwave oven on the recommendation of a friend.

I must admit that I almost always assume that these kinds of things are gimmicks, but on this occasion I am happy to admit that I was wrong. Very wrong indeed. The Nuwave offers a revolutionary new way of cooking pretty much anything you can think of in a fastest, easier, cheaper and healthier way than any conventional oven. If all this wasn’t enough, it also solves that life-long headache of being able to cook from frozen – no more hideous hours wasted defrosting things when you can just get right down to the cooking part!

So far I have cooked more meals using the device than I can possibly put a number to. To say it is versatile would be an understatement – I have thrown everything you can imagine at it. From whole chickens to delicate fish and right through to frozen steaks, it doesn’t seem to matter what you put in there or what state it is in, it will always come out perfect.

It is also one of the safest and easiest cookers to use I have every come across – I don’t think twice about getting the whole family involved. While I of course bought the thing for myself after being told about it, I have to say that for anyone that likes cooking it would make the gift to end all gifts – all for a price that’s way below what you take home for the money.

There aren’t many cooking revolutions that have come along in recent history, but I have to say for sure that this is one of them. I just cannot get enough of it and nor could I imagine going back to life without it at this stage – it’s a big winner in a big way!

Pros: For me, the best thing about it is the ability to cook things to perfection and in no time at all from frozen. I so often forget to defrost whatever it is we’re supposed to be eating and end up cursing myself – no such problems any more though!

The item is the NuWave Oven Pro that I bought about a week ago from My NuWave Oven. I had been looking for a replacement for my oven which had broken down just after a few months of use. It was a big shock for me as I had spend a lot of money on buying that oven and now was in a real fix to find a replacement for it. I started searching for an inexpensive, but durable oven on the internet and got directed to the My NuWave Oven website from a search engine.

I was surprised to see that NuWave Oven Pro that was on sale at this website. It was not just an oven, in fact it was a complete cooking range that was able to do the work of a toaster, microwave, defroster, toaster and grill all alone. It had a simple enough design and used three different modes of heat for cooking which were infrared rays, convection and conduction. I was impressed to see so many qualities in a single appliance, but was a little unsure about how it will perform in reality.

I had almost thought about not buying this product until I saw the price. The website was offering a very small price package that gave me the chance to pay for the product in three very affordable installments. Not only this, I was being offered a number of free items along with the oven too. Seeing this, I was tempted to try out this appliance and I placed an order for it online.

When the item was shipped to me on the same day and I started using it, I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was to operate it. Using the guidebook that had accompanied the oven, I was able to understand the working of almost all the parts of this oven in about an hour or so’s time. Having learned how to use this oven, I got excited and thought about using each of its functions.

The NuWave Oven

As a bachelor, I had admired the Nuwave Oven from afar for awhile as . I had been on a consummate quest for the easiest device for making a quick and healthy dinner As a result, my closet was stocked with unused griddles, grills, and roasters, which never seemed to meet my needs.

Being something of a night owl, I was aware of the Nuwave Oven from the infomercials and I was intrigued, but not quite ready to make the plunge. I continued to do my research and after an especially massive haul of gift cards over Christmas, I headed to the mall with the Nuwave on my mind.

Once I got it home, I was impressed with it's sturdiness. . A lot of other appliances seemed cheaply made, but this was solid. And it fit perfectly on my counter right next to my coffee maker. After reading through the instructions, I decided on the classic bachelors meal of steak and potatoes.

The thing that impressed me is that the Nuwave Oven is truly an all in one device. Unlike other devices, it can cook your entire meal. I set my steak on the lower grill and my potatoes and vegetables on the upper. I set the machine to cook and it whirred to life. It actually runs pretty quietly and like advertised, did not heat up my kitchen. As it was cooking, I could watch my steak brown and the juices drip off. As the bell rang, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my steak was a perfect medium rare and the potatoes was perfectly done.

After another test meal of a hamburger and frozen French fries (which were cooked perfectly), my Nuwave Oven was ready for the big test. I had the entire family over for a whole baked chicken , red potatoes and carrots. Although it took a bit longer than expected, the wait was well worth it and the chicken was the juiciest, most flavorful chicken I have ever had. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and I was amazed at the amount of fat that had dripped away from the chicken.

So far, the Nuwave Oven looks to be the perfect option for the bachelor that wants easy home cooked meals.

Pros: So far, it is a dream. I love the fact that by using the different height racks, I can cook a whole meal in one unit. In the past, I have cooked the meat and microwaved the vegetables, but cooking the vegetables this way has a much better taste. Everything tastes fresh, even frozen vegetables

Cons: Only complaint is that due to all the droppings, it can be hard to clean. But It is all dishwasher safe, so that is really not a problem. Also, the times on the recipe card are not exact and it requires some tinkering.

Other Info: Shop around for a package with multiple racks and the extender unit. It makes using it that much easier.

I just love my wonderful NuWave oven. As another reviewer stated, the instructions are a bit impossible to read and difficult to understand.
