Well, they really don’t come better than this. The frame is just the right size and you don’t have to worry about it being too small to be visible or large enough that it overpowers you room. It measures 30 inches by 24 inches making fit to display in your living room, study or wherever you see appropriate.

If you live in Texas or have lived in the state at some point, you know just how important and renowned the KentuckyDerby is. Imagine having a piece of this in your home. I have since moved from Texas and this Special Edition Frame is my reminder of home. The frame is spectacular and has proven to be great starter for a lively conversation bringing back a flood of memories and a true representation of Texan roots for me.

Kentucky Derby Icon Quilted Jacket:

The item is the Kentucky Derby Icon Quilted Jacket that I bought recently from the Kentucky Derby Store. I had been looking forward to the Kentucky Derby that is to be held next month. Being a big fan of this event, I wanted to wear something special, so that I can show my love for it and look different from the crowd that will come there to cheer on their favorite horse. For this purpose, I had been visiting malls and fashion stores for months looking for a good outfit, but had not been able to find any that was suitable enough for me to wear to the derby. Then one day, I thought about visiting the official Kentucky Derby Store website and look for a good item there.

So, I logged on to the website and started searching for an outfit to wear to the race there. I was not able to select any dress, but the Kentucky Derby Icon Quilted Jacket did catch my eye. This jacket had a very elegant design and was wind-resistant too, making a good item to wear on the day of Derby. I was also fascinated to see that there was a Kentucky Derby logo printed on the jacket too. Thus, I decided that it is better to wear a jacket having the Derby’s logo on it than wearing a fashionable dress and placed an order for it on the website.

The website did not keep me waiting for long and delivered me the jacket earlier than the due date. I was very happy to have received the item a good month or so before the race. I was also pleased to see that the jacket was even prettier to look at in reality than it was when I had looked at it in pictures posted on the website.

I am looking forward with eagerness to the day of the derby when I will be able to show this jacket of mine to my friends who will also attend the event. I know that they are going to love this jacket of mine.

This jacket is an official Kentucky Derby merchandise item that has the Kentucky Derby logo emblazoned on it. This jacket is made from 100% polyester and has been fitted with front pockets that have zippers present on top. The jacket has been lined on the inside and is wind-resistant too, which makes it ideal to be worn to the Derby on windy days. Its other features include a mock neck, cuffs with snap closure and a full zip that is well-hidden under a wind flap with buttons on top.

Cons: I was not able to find anything to complain about in this item. It had a very amiable design, was made using high quality material and wasn’t very expensive too. Thus, I have no regrets for having bought this product and am very satisfied with it too.

It is about the 12 oz. Kentucky Derby 139 Gold Mint Julep Glass that I bought from the Kentucky Derby Store a few days back. I am a very big follower of horse racing and love seeing the Kentucky Derby. I have been too many Kentucky Derbies and have a number of fond memories associated with this horse race. My father used to take me to this derby a lot back when I was young. I even met my future wife at this derby too. Because of having all of these memories, I wanted to have a collectible item of this derby present in my collection.

Because of my desire for getting my hands on to any collector’s item from this derby, I had made it a habit of mine to keep visiting the Kentucky Derby Store so that I can learn about the sale of any collector’s item immediately whenever it is put up on the site. One day I was doing my routine check of the website when my eyes fell on the 12 oz. Kentucky Derby 139 Gold Mint Julep Glass. I was instantly interested in buying it as I badly wanted to have a collector’s item of this race in my collection.

Review Body: I now have one of these caps. My husband always gets one for each of us when he orders our tickets to the Derby each year. The tickets came in last week along with our caps. It’s tradition – we have been going to the Kentucky Derby every year for as long as I can remember. Basically, tradition is that he always gets two caps for us with the two tickets. It means that the time is getting close and I always start getting excited – we wear the caps when we dress casual around town during the month before the Derby – everyone wears them – its tradition.

We are alumni from the University of Kentucky and I think the first time he did this with the caps was back then when we were only dating. Of course then it was a surprise, but after 20 years of marriage, it’s not a surprise anymore – it’s a tradition.

We always celebrate the tradition of the Kentucky Derby with these Derby 139 Extreme Washed caps from the time we get out tickets until the weekend of the Derby. Every year they come in different colors. This year we got the orange Derby Caps that have 139th logo embroidered on over the front crown, slide buckle closure and the Kentucky Derby 139 date for the race which is embroidered over the back closure. It’s just part of the tradition.

Other traditions, we always arrive at the Derby on the Wednesday before, so we can attend some of the big parties that are all over town. On Thursday, we always go and pick up my formal hat wear that I have already ordered and is waiting for me to pick up.

The big parties are the real fun behind the Derby. On Thursday night is the big Kentucky Horse Owners Association Dinner and Dance. We go every year. On Friday night all the stables that have a horse in the race have cocktail parties - so of course we have to go to every one of those.

The day of the race all the couples we have been going to the Derby with have separate events – the ladies have a brunch and the gentlemen have a lunch. Then we all head to the racetrack together. There are 10 couples that we have been doing this tradition with since we were all in college together.

Tradition is a wonderful thing. It reminds you who you are and where you came from. My husband’s family has been going to the Derby beginning when his granddaddy was a student at the University, and then the tradition passed down to his daddy. It will be passed down to our son. It will always begin with the tickets to the Derby that arrive with the Derby Caps. After all – its tradition!

Pros: Very comfortable, always have the Derby logo and the date on them, we order a different color every year, and they always arrive on time and always a tradition.

It’s the official Derby website with everything from artwork, to Derby hats, to Derby formal hat wear. I order my hat every year from this website. This year’s website is unique and different as every year’s is. There is all types of official Derby wear and Derby party supplies. The navigation begins with a menu bar on the top of each page leading to drop down menus with all the sections to visit. It is always brilliantly designed without any mistakes in it – and you never get lost. It makes for an awesome shopping experience that is traditional.

I'll agree with Robin's review. The Kentucky Derby Store has a lot of great race, horse, and derby themed items that you probably can't find elsewhere. But, the price is pretty steep. It's great for collectors like me, but others may not like it as much.

The Kentucky Derby Store really does have a great selection that any racing enthusiast would love. I myself am not a fan but my brother loves the store and swears by it. It's a great store if the derby is your thing. 

I don’t understand any of the complaints on this board. This is such a unique and niche website that you must have known that you wanted derby gear when you clicked on it. You get what you ask for and you asked for derby gear. I get it if you complain about the customer service, which is good, or the products, which are better, just don’t complain that you got the wrong stuff. This is a wonderful annual race and it deserves its own line of products for the fans out there like me.
