Orgreenic Non-Stick Cooking Pan:

The item is Orgreenic Non-Stick cooking pan; I bought this pan about five months ago at Kroger supermarket. I have been on a sort of health kick for the past year or so, cutting out a lot of artificial and over processed foods and cooking a lot more during the week instead of eating out and eating frozen foods. So, I started making healthier pancakes for my family using rice flour instead of the traditional, and I quickly learned that rice flour is notorious for sticking to the pan. So, I started researching online for quality non-stick pans and I came across Orgreenic brand. I didn’t know anyone personally that had used Orgreenic pans but the more I read about it the more confident I grew that this pan would deliver.

So, on my next visit to Kroger supermarket I bought it. I absolutely love this pan. I loved that this pan is environmentally friendly and that it can take higher temperatures and also that it doesn’t contain harsh chemicals. I started using it straightaway. This pan is truly non-stick, I actually have fun making my rice flour pancakes, instead of dreading it, my pancakes flip without sticking and I do not have to use too much oil while cooking. I have pretty much retired my old skillet since getting this Orgreenic; I sauté my veggies, cook up yummy omelets and toast awesome grill cheese sandwiches effortlessly. Literally nothing sticks to it; I have become a more confident and adventurous cook with this pan. I use this pan at least three times a week and still I have been getting the same high quality non-stick results with each use. It has become a real staple in my cooking and in my creation of more healthier meals, I am thrilled with the results.

Pros: The Orgreenic Non-stick cooking pan is an eco-friendly non-stick cooking pan. It is designed to help us create healthy dishes without the trouble of dealing with sticking. It is easy to clean, durable, affordable and effective.

Cons: The Orgreenic Non-stick cooking pan does not have any major cons in my opinion. The only thing I can think of is the color; it would be fun to have more color options to complement existing décor and taste.

The OrGreenic 10-inch frying pan:

I purchased OrGreenic cookware partly because I was skeptical and partly because I really wanted a cookware that I could use without oil and other fatty substances. I love to cook but as someone who gains weight easily, I like to cut calories everywhere I can. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to get quality cookware, cut out some calories and save on clean up time in the kitchen.

I purchased the 10-inch frying pan and couldn’t wait to get it home and try it out. The first thing I did was wash the pan and check the instructions to determine cooking temperatures and preparations for the first use. The instructions say to season it so I did, just like mom’s old cast iron pans. I thought this cookware was going to be a treat. Once I had it seasoned and wiped out I put it to use.

My first meal was fried chicken with diced tomatoes and onions. I knew without added oil the chicken would need some kind of flavoring. I started out browning the chicken and added my spices and veggies. The meal turned out great. I was well pleased with the cookware at this point. The chicken did stick to the pan just a little but since this was my first use of the cookware I thought it could be because I cooked it on too high of a temperature.

I was wrong. Over the next month or so I found just about everything stuck a little. The cleanup after cooking was easy but my foods always seemed to stick. At one point I started adding a little oil but that only seemed to cause the cookware to overheat and now I have a black ring in the center of my pan. My mother had purchased the same cookware and so I called her to find out if she had the same issue and she told me that hers had become stained as well.

I can only assume that we should have done more simmering and less frying. Either way, I was able to determine that the cookware does not work for the way I cook. It was worth the money to try it out and I don’t regret the purchase but I won’t be buying any more.

Pros: The pan has a non-Teflon surface. It can withstand high oven temperatures. The pan is very lightweight compared to similar quality cookware.

Cons: The pans seem cheaply made. Seasoning the pan requires you to stink up your house with the smell of burnt oil. You can’t put the pan in the dishwasher.

Other Info: I would not recommend using the pans on a gas burner.

Recommended: OrGreenic cookware is worth the purchase as long as you know what you are getting ahead of time and take the time to learn how to use it. You can’t use it in the same way you would stainless steel or certain types of high-end cookware. If you don’t mind slow cooking at lower temperatures then this cookware should be fine.

Orgreenic Cookware 10-inch fry pan:

I purchased my 10-inch Orgreenic Cookware fry pan in February 2013. I had seen the cookware advertised and was excited about using one to help me stick to my New Year's diet. I finally found one in a cookware store while on vacation. The price was perfect, so I quickly purchased one. When I finally returned home, I was eager to begin using my new pan.

The next day, I used my Orgreenic fry pan to fry eggs for breakfast. I didn't have to use any grease to fry my eggs, which definitely cut down on fat and calories. My eggs were perfect! Not only were they healthier, but they cooked evenly and did not stick to the pan when I flipped them over. Plus, cleanup was a snap! Nothing was stuck to the pan. All I had to do was rinse the pan with soapy water and it was ready to use again.

The last few months, I have often used my Orgreenic fry pan to fry eggs, bacon, fish, and chicken. I've also sautéed mushrooms and peppers to add to chili and omelets. The pan is also great for stir-fry! When I first began using my pan, I was afraid the silver handle would get hot, but it never did. The handle stayed cold to the touch no matter how long or how hot I cooked! I've been using the pan for a couple of months now, and it still works just as good as it did on day one.

I have been recommending the Orgreenic fry pan to all of my friends and family, especially those who are on a diet. I tell them it is great for healthy cooking because you don't have to use butter or oil to keep your food from sticking. In addition, the price is great and the pan is super simple to clean. In a just a few minutes, it is clean and ready for your next meal!
