The Alpha NEX-5R with 18-55mm Lens that I purchased from the Sony website has paid for itself! I am so happy that I bought this awesome camera!

I am a student attending community college and I have taken a couple of photography classes. I knew I was born with the ability to take flattering photos of people, animals and still-life objects. So, when I bought the Alpha NEX-5R with 18-55mm Lens, I started my photography business. I have a talent of taking very flattering pictures of women, did I few test shots for one of my female friends. She was so impressed, that she told all her friends in the dorm, and they are lining up at the door!

The Alpha NEX-5R with 18-55mm Lens has really helped me go from taking simple mall-like snapshots to taking good photos! This camera is not like the point-and-shoot cameras that I have used in the past. It comes with a sensor that is used in Sony’s best selling DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex Cameras)! I can take pictures and blur the background. This camera also helps me to shoot full high definition movies as well! This camera actually delivers really gorgeous picture quality. With its MP4 code, I can compress smaller-sized files and easily upload them online.

I have been able to earn good money, taking pictures for girls at my school who plan to become models and need to have a good portfolio. Not everyone has the opportunity to be photographed by well known fashion photographers like Gilles Bensimone, or Nigel Barker. I am paid as much as 200 dollars to take flattering pictures of my customers!

Sony Cybershot DSC-T300 Digital Camera:

Because I really enjoy taking pictures and not just when I'm vacationing or attending a special event, I thought it would be wise of me to look into purchasing a digital camera. The first one I bought was a refurbished Polaroid recommended (sight unseen, mind you) by a co-worker. Nothing against Polaroid, but the one I bought was far more trouble than it was worth, so I ditched it and started over with not much of a basis to work from.

While I did some research online, I really wasn't knowledgeable enough to truly understand everything, so venturing into the Wolf Camera store was a great decision for me. That day, they were running an unadvertised sale (for that store only), to rid themselves of some unsold inventory. First, I focused on another camera from a highly recognizable brand, but when I asked the salesperson her opinion between that camera and the Sony, she didn't flinch... Sony all the way. I soon saw why.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T300 is a very lightweight camera you can easily slip into your purse or into your carry-on when traveling. The viewing screen is very accurate, and the pictures are absolutely fabulous. Mine is their 2008 model with 8.1 megapixels. Now, everyone's needs will be different, but the rule of thumb is to be sure your prints are no bigger than a 16 x 20 if taken with an 8 MP camera (which suits my range of needs perfectly).

Pros: I have friends who purchased much more expensive cameras from other brands who are sold on upgrading to a Sony. Crisp colors and clear pictures make me look like a pro, and I have taken pictures with this camera which could (and might) become postcards one day. The reason for such professional-looking shots is because this camera comes with a feature called the Super Steady Shot to help minimize blurry photos. Beyond that, the camera has an auto-focus feature which allows the camera to refocus to the optimal setting--it all but guarantees that perfect shot you hope for. The wide touch screen on the back of the camera makes framing a cinch, especially for people who wear glasses or other corrective lenses (who sometimes find themselves having to adjust to other cameras with much smaller framing). In other words, this camera takes all the guesswork out of taking pictures, especially for the newbie to digital cameras.

Cons: If you often take candid shots of quick-moving targets (like race cars, runners, animals, etc.) this may not be the camera for you. You cannot bypass the auto-focus feature, so while the camera is focusing you may miss the moment. However, most of my shots are of still and slow-moving objects, so for my purposes, the ease of use, slim design and picture quality make this the perfect digital camera for me.

Review Body: Chances are you’ll have heard of the Sony Xperia name a few time recently as a swathe of new products have hit the market from the technology big-wig. I’ve always been a fan of Sony Xperia phones for the simple reason that I’m as stubborn as it gets and I refuse to be swept away by all that hype about the iPhone. It’s true – I bought an Xperia just out of spite to Apple and recently went one step further to buy the Sony Xperia Tablet S just because everyone had told me I should get an iPad. I am not officially authorized to be even more smug than normal as it turns out that I was right…in a very big way.

Ok, I’m not the best type of person on Earth when it comes to technical details so my apologies if anything I say sounds a bit off the mark. All in all, the Sony Xperia Tablet S has astounded me form the first time I took it out of the box and still blows my mind now. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t looking for a tablet PC with anything of great merit in mind – I just wanted something to have as a new toy that I could take around on my travels with me. Like I said, I had been won over by Xperia phones and therefore assumed I couldn’t lose with an Xperia tablet.

I just love the fact that the Sony Xperia Tablet S looks almost identical in its design to the Smartphones I already have from the range. Despite being amazingly bright and clear when powered up, it goes back to that trademark black gloss finish when you turn it off…which is cool as can be. It’s powered by a quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, which is something I don’t understand at all but I can tell you that it is as fast as lightning and smooth as butter. It’s got an Android 4.0 operating system that I’m told will be updated sometime soon, but to be honest I’m not bothered if it is or not…it’s already good as it needs to be.

For watching movies, surfing the web and hacking out emails it is simply flawless. I’m also reliably told that its camera is one of the best in the business and while I cannot verify this, I can say that it is one of the best I have ever used and is good for hours of fun and games. Speaking of games, I’m already hooked on about a dozen – it’s awesome.

In all honesty, I can’t genuinely compare it with the iPad because I’ve never owned one and probably never will. However, as a tablet in its own right and considering it costs less than $500…just…it’s one of the best pieces of kit I’ve ever had a go with and I really could not be more proud of it.

Pros: It’s frankly stunning to look at and about a millions times more elegant than so many overstate and show-off tablets on the market today. Performance wise it’s never let me down, it runs every apps I’ve ever tried like a dream and has a batter that so far has never run short at the wrong time. Like I said a bit earlier, it’s also got an amazing camera which has by rights retired my standard digital camera once and for all.

Cons: I personally can’t think of any. I was told by one or two people that Android 4.0 is now outdated and there is a newer version out there, but this is irrelevant as the Sony Xperia Tablet S will at some point or another be given a free OS update for anyone that wants it. Like I said, I’m not bothered either way.

Pros: The 16GB Xperia Tablet S is a great device that has everything present in it that a person wants in a modern tech gadget. It is sleek, stylish and very beautifully designed. It has a large 9.4 inches touch screen that makes movie viewing a treat. Running on the latest and fastest version of the Android, the Android 4.0 Ice-cream sandwich, this device is fast and executes commands in a flash. It is loaded with a number of fun apps most of which are concerned with entertainment.

Cons: I was not able to find anything in this item that was of any concern. The product was shipped for free, was not very much costly and worked fantastically for me. So, I did not have any regrets about buying this product.

While you can find some great prices at the Sony store, Sony just is not the company it used to be. More often than not the higher-end models break within a year. It seems to be a general downhill slide that I'm seeing and it isn't just with Sony. If nothing else, I wish they'd improve the durability of their products. That said, the warranties offered with the products are very good and most of the electronics I own come from Sony. They're a tried and trusted company for a variety of reasons and I do still recommend them often to friends. One of my favorite pieces has always been my Playstation. Despite the issues I might have from time to time with the company, I do trust Sony more than any other company. I think they'll always have a customer in me.

Sony is a tried and trusted name for a reason. I’ve rarely ever had a problem with any purchase I’ve made from this company. At times when I did experience some trouble, customer service was always just a phone call away and always helpful in getting things back in order. If you want electronics you know are going to last, Sony is the way to go. And, if you’ve got kids, the Sony Playstation is always a guaranteed winner when it comes to gifts.

When it comes to electronics there is no name that I trust more than Sony. They have always had high quality electronics and they always back their products with the best warranties. Just about every electronic that I own came from Sony and most of it I ordered online. Sometimes, I do pay a bit more in order to get a Sony product but I believe that the extra money is worth the good quality that I can rely on. I would definitely give Sony five stars and will most likely always be a valued customer.
