This item is the Looney Tunes Phonics Home Edition. I have already used this program with two children who have been home-schooled and was quite pleased with the results. This is a program that combines the playfulness of the characters from Looney Tunes with the up to date technologies, that makes the Looney Tunes Phonic program the most effective and exciting foundational program for reading available for those who are home schooling their children.

This program is designed for use in homes as well as schools, and includes the curriculum and instruction that is the research based design of the program Click N READ phonics which has always won high acclaim.

This program is delivered online with research-based co-operative cartoon lessons of 100 that teach the total kindergarten to third grade phonics program. This Looney Tunes Click N READ Phonics Home Edition lets a parent structure a class with up to ten children for every account. The families in our neighborhood with children being home schooled get together and teach this as a class each day and it works really well.

The kids are entertained and taught by the Looney Tunes gang and meet the new character Professor Wizbot, the on-screen instructor. We are able to offer the identical research based instruction in reading being taught at USA public schools in the comfort of our homes – we take turns each week with different homes the class will be taught in.

The plan for payment recurs every 12 months and a payment is made every year. The yearly subscription cost for one user or seat is $29.95. This plan lets us purchase up to 10 seats total. The Home Edition is recommended for parents and a home school with 10 students or less – which works perfect for our neighborhood of 8 kids who are all the same age.

I have already used this program once with our older kids with really great success. This program allows parents in this neighborhood who home school to provide their child with these same research reading instruction taught at USA public schools.

Pros:
For homeschooling, this program is for up to 10 kids, taught online with Looney Tunes characters, uses the same reading instruction used as USA public schools.

Cons:
This neighborhood has already used this program twice with sets of older children and the children love the program and are all reading well at a higher level now.

Review Body: This is a research-based online spelling program that is sponsored by Looney Tunes, which teaches the 800 most frequently used words of English language. One of my grandsons was struggling in school, so I bought him a lifetime membership in this program for Christmas and watched as he proceeded with it. He absolutely loved it.

The program is geared towards pre-kindergarten up to students in the 5th grade, but can do well as a mediation program for struggling spellers no matter grade, level or age. My grandson Robert is a 2nd grader and was having problems with spelling in his class work; so much trouble that he would pretend to be sick, so he wouldn’t have to go to school. I found this program that appeared quite satisfactory to me, so I gave him a membership for on this Christmas.

Research has shown that children who learn this list of 800 words will have no problems mastering the English language. Research has also shown that this program lays the groundwork not only for spelling, but also for learning the English language as a whole. This program makes spelling both fun and is very effective. I am so happy to see my grandson so excited to learn using this amazing aid that he got.

Children using this program are being tutored by one of the most internationally recognized professors in this line of study. Dr. J. Rod Nelson has a reputation in the United States as an effective researcher with many research grant submissions funding and he has worked with the nation’s top educators and universities to develop this program.

With this program, parents are able to offer this same reading training to their children that are being taught across the USA public schools right from the comforts of their homes – excellent for home schooling. Children who have dyslexia, autism, and Down syndrome will no longer need to find particular products designed especially for a certain disability. Research has shown that this ClickN SPELL course used in Looney Tunes ClickN READ Phonics program has been very successful for both children and adults with special needs as well as learning disabilities. My grandson has thrived using this program and his spelling and reading grades in school just shot straight up; he loves his school now and it is such a relief.

Pros: Inexpensive, proven record of accomplishment, ease of use and developed by an internationally recognized leader in this line of study.

Cons: I haven’t been able to find any drawback associated with this program as yet.

Website Experience: The website comprises of only one page and makes it very easy for users to understand how the program works. Easy to buy a membership or as they call it - a seat! And since this is a web-based program, it is very accessible and interactive for children to use. Even small children in their early years of learning are able to enjoy the benefits of improved learning through the easy user interface.

Final Notes: My grandson was failing in spelling and reading and hated school – now he is making great grades and loves school – all for $19.95. When children lose interest in school at this young age, it is vital that something is done to restore the love for learning. This program does this unbelievably good.

This turned out to be exactly what my youngest daughter needed to help her get caught up with the rest of her class when it comes to reading and spelling. Since we aren't an iPad family, we didn't have access to the kind of apps and games that a lot of other people use to make learning fun for kids. I'm sure that this doesn't stack up to some of the more expensive options out there if you have the gadgets to run them, but it was perfect for our needs.

This program doesn't actually look into different ways of learning and what works for one child might not work for another. Overall, it's better to really stop and look into how your child learns so you can make the best decision as to how to help them. There are plenty of cheaper programs that are geared to a specific learning style and that may be of more help to your child than an across the board program like this. That said, if an across the board program would work well for your child's learning style, you could do much worse than this program, even with the price.

Danielle B. is absolutely right! I signed up for the Click-n-Kids program. I though it will give my four year old some advantage over others. It seemed interesting for the first one week. My son tried it for a few days but after that he completely lost interest in it. I had to force him every day. I didn't want that. I wanted him to have fun while learning the spelling. That was the whole point of buying a program like this instead of traditional books. But it didn't service the purpose. I wouldn't recommend this program.

I hate to say it, but I agree with the other 1-star reviewers. Click N Kids is nothing more than knockoff games that come at premium prices. You can find better games online for free.

Before ClickN Kids, my six year old daughter was really struggling with learning how to read. A good friend of mine actually told me about this program is recommended that I give it a shot. I am here to testify that this is one of the best reading and spelling programs that I have ever saw. My daughter is now reading like a pro and I owe her ability to do this completely to ClickN Kids. It was worth every penny that I paid for this program to help my daughter learn how to read better.

I had a completely different experience as Danielle B with the Clickn Kids Reading program. My daughter has had the hardest time with reading at school. I had her try this program after one of the other kids’ moms suggested it. This has been the only program that has worked for my daughter. Maybe it is the computer and the ability for her to interact with the words, but it has been like magic for my daughter. She now reads many sight words and is moving forward in her Kindergarten class.
