I am so very happy with the stuffed Dixie Sheltie, which I had a chance to buy from this website named Douglas Cuddle Toys! I have always wanted a dog (a Sheltie to be precise), but I have a very hectic schedule, I am always travelling from one state to the next and from one country to the other. The thought of leaving my dog at home or at the mercy of careless friends or at the mercy insensitive staffs at a dog boarding establishment made me rethink my decision. I am also at a place in my life where cleaning up after a dog is not something that I am ready to keep doing; so I thought to myself, why not get a stuffed dog!

When I came across the Dixie Sheltie at the Douglas Cuddle Toys website, I just knew that I have found what I have been looking for! The Dixie Sheltie really looks real! The detailing, the expression and posture of this stuffed animal got me looking over and over again. I got this special gift for myself, and I must say that I am truly pleased with my purchase!

I even take the Dixie Sheltie with me when I travel. There was a woman on the plane who thought that it was real and wanted to give it a pat on the head. One other lady asked me if she could give my dog a nice yummy treat!

I love the Dixie Sheltie! It is very cute, it is just the perfect size – very ideal for me to travel with, and it fits into my tote bag! It is also made of top quality material. The two best things I love about the Dixie Sheltie are that it is unbelievably realistic and super soft!

Review Body: The item is the Dixie Sheltie that I bought a few days back from the Douglas Cuddle Toy website for my little daughter. I had been looking for a stuffed toy for Sara, my youngest daughter. She loves animals and wanted to have a pet, but seeing that she was so young and was not able to take care of an animal all by herself, I decided to buy her a stuffed toy instead. On this website, I saw a number of excellent plush toys that looked almost real in appearance. I began hunting for a stuffed toy that could be perfect for my little girl and soon my eyes fell on the Dixie Sheltie that was on display at the website in the Large Stuffed Dogs section. I was so surprised to see how real the toy dog looked in the pictures. I was instantly drawn to this particular toy because I had a Dixie Sheltie as my pet when I was young.

Thus, after carefully reading the details about the toy mentioned on the website, I decided to buy this stuffed toy as the pet for my little daughter. I did not have any problems in placing the order as the whole process was very simple and did not take much time to complete. All I had to do then was to wait for my order to be shipped to me.

The website did not take a lot of time to process the order and sent it to my home address pretty quickly. I had the stuffed toy in my hands a few days after having placed the order and was able to give it to my daughter as soon as it arrived. I was so pleased to see that the toy was even more beautiful and real-life looking than it had seemed in the pictures on the website. Sara was very happy to see the toy and for a few minutes seemed to think that it was a real dog and kept asking me why he was not barking.

Having realized that it was not a real dog, she did feel a bit unhappy, but soon began liking it. She now carries it every where she goes and keep it close to her. She has even named the dog as Bucky too and keeps on chatting with him as if he is her real pet. I would recommend every parent to buy this toy for their kids.

Pros: The Dixie Sheltie is a fabulous stuffed toy that is designed for both kids and adults alike. It resembles a real life sheltie and has the exact same soft fur that one associates with a sheltie. The material used in the making of this toy is of the highest quality and is the reason why it is very durable. This stuffed dog is extremely easy to wash and maintain. You can either use it as a toy or as a decoration piece to beautify your room.

Cons: I was not able to find any issues with this product. It has a beautiful design, a real life like look and does not cost very much too.

The layout and design of the website is very simple and has been made keeping the customers in mind. Review Body: I have one of these Dixie Sheltie stuffed dogs – well, I don’t own it – my 4 year old daughter does, but I was the one who bought it for her.

Ever since her birth she has had terrible allergies – so bad that she can’t even take allergy shots because she reacts to the allergy shots. Her allergies are to almost every food, tree pollen, flower pollen and most animals. Her room is stripped down to her bed and pretty much nothing else. We have to keep that room as clean as possible.

About 6 months ago, Kelly started talking about wanting a dog. Of course, that is out of the question because of her allergies. So, my wife and I tried to explain and get her to understand about how and why she can’t have a dog right now.

Last January I was on a business trip to Atlanta – I am involved in checking the safety of toys, so I was attending a conference that had a trade show of all types of toys. I attended the trade show one day and there was a company that made life size animals – and they had a Sheltie dog on display that could have been real. It was designed and manufactured so well that if the dog had barked I would have thought it was real. The interesting thing is there is a type of spray that you can spray on the fabric of a stuffed animal to make it so that it does not attract dust or dust mitts. Spray this on the Dixie Sheltie dog and my girl Kelly has her dog.

The Sheltie’s are made so carefully to make it really look “real”. Postures, details and certain expressions make you “look again” as they really look real. This is perfect for Kelly’s dog at least until she is older.

You should have seen my daughter light up when I brought it home to her. She had her live size Stuffed Sheltie and she named her dog “Tuffy” and she took that dog with her everywhere. The only rule we have is that the dog cannot sleep in the bed with her, so we made a doghouse by the bed for Tuffy to sleep in. Children have such imaginations and she believes that this stuffed animal was her real dog. So, she was happy which makes the whole family happy.

Last month she started taking allergy shots again and they are working this time – but she hates them, so she takes Tuffy with her every week when she goes for her shot.

These stuffed animals by Douglas Toys are soft, cuddly, and beautiful and they have almost every Dog Breed available. Their collection includes beside stuffed dogs, stuffed cats, stuffed wildlife, barnyard animals, bears, penguins – they are just beautiful toys and I believe the best-stuffed animals available. This should keep her happy until she has had 6 months or more of allergy shots.

Pros: This Dixie Sheltie is cute, made of good quality, interactive, perfect size for a miniature Sheltie, very realistic, and soft. Together with that spray that keeps stuff animals from attracting dust so much – it all turned into the perfect gift for my daughter.

This leads you to drop down menus taking you to shop by category, stuffed animals by child’s age as well as other menu options. The pages are simple with very good photography and other information. The pages are not cluttered and overall were laid out very well. They also have secure checkout to protect your personal information and credit card or bank information.

Final Notes: If you can’t have the real thing sometime something that is really close to the real thing can certainly solve the problem.
