I live in Washington but have family and friends in Alaska, so we travel on Alaska Air at least a couple of times a year to visit everyone. What I like about this airline in addition to the lower ticket prices, is the service we always get while we’re onboard. The flight attendants are always friendly and courteous no matter what is going on. Our flights have gotten in on time most of the time, with the exception of inclement weather on one trip and we were given a credit for our next flight. The flight attendants are always great with my 6 and 8 year olds and make sure we have everything we need to be comfortable during our trip.


Alaskan Airlines features connecting flights to Nome, Alaska on the Seward Peninsula. This arctic location is home to the world famous Iditarod dog sled race and is a unique place to get away from it all. It is the perfect place for the eco tourist because today it is known for its wild and scenic coast. You’ll likely spot a moose, walrus or bear on the 73-mile Council Road drive. I got such a steal on a flight out to Hawaii on these guys. It is funny to think that Alaska air flies to the other non-continental state, but they do and they do it well. I did a bunch of research and found that flights to Hawaii were cheapest out of Oakland, CA. So, I managed to hookup a cheap flight to Oakland and then got on the Alaska flight out to Honolulu. It saved me a bundle and the Alaska flight was really pleasant. I will always do something like this when flying out there.

I had never flown Alaska Air before but I had to get to San Francisco in a hurry and it was the only airline I could book. This desperate measure turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The flight was cheaper than any other flight I could find, but I felt like I was on a luxury airline the whole way. The food was amazing and the attendants were professional in their duties. I was so impressed with the service that I switched the next two flights I had to Alaska Air and recommended that my colleagues all do the same.

My wife and I flew from Los Angeles to San Francisco on Alaska Air and the experience was excellent! The crew was extremely friendly and the plane was clean and comfortable. We did not have a meal, but we did have a drink service and it was done so well that it just added to the flight. We have taken plenty of bad flights on other airlines and it was just nice to fly on an airline that actually does care about the passengers and works to keep our business.
