The Veggie Tales Store

If there is one thing to teach your kids, and yes there are many, but good values are the single-most important thing you can teach your children that they will carry for life and will shape everything else they do in life. It gives them self-esteem. It teaches them about fairness. It teaches them to look out for the underdog. It teaches them to be okay with emotions and sensitive to others needs.

So many cartoons are ill-mannered and they don't make a whole lot of sense. What exactly are you feeding your little one mentally? As they say, "Garbage in. Garbage out." Veggie Tales offers teachings that most or nearly all cartoons cannot. Veggie Tales teaches kids how to interact with one another in a mature manner. It teaches kids about sharing, about helping out, about the importance of listening, about forgiveness, amongst other strong values, and it's educational.

The reason that TV is so harming to kids, other than the values they pick up from watching it, is that mindless activities (i.e. something which does not stimulate the brain) do not allow brain dendrites in babies and small children to connect. Dendrites are the pathways in the brain. It's the medium by which information is transmitted and transferred within the brain. When children watch something which does not stimulate their brains, it hurts their chances for optimal growth. This results in kids that are not as intelligent as they could have been. It impedes their studies in school. It hinders them from learning quickly. It's just bad all around.

If you have to put your little one in front of the TV, make sure they're watching something good. Let them watch something that will stimulate their brain. In addition, give them something which will teach them important life skills. You can rely on Veggie Tales to always deliver both to your child.
